Get high to get low. Dive deep into a sacred spiritual evening with cannabis enhanced yoga, focused on mindful breathwork & celestial harp music. Our opening circle prepares you for a more intentional yoga practice in order to rhythmically melt into the vibrations of live harp sound healing. These slower moving yoga poses will allow you to flow in and out of a deeper state of awareness. Organic, sun-grown flower will be provided.
Yoga: This gentle yoga class is accessible to everyone with slow flowing poses focusing on the breath. We embody mindfulness in a safe space free of judgment in an elevated state of higher consciousness through the consumption of cannabis. A unique blend of essential oils will be provided to heighten the senses, while syncing our hearts with the rhythmic vibrations of harp music. Class will end with light adjustments.
Harp Heart Music: Using a rhythm between 55-60 beats per minute allows your heart and respiration to slow down. Your movements match that same rhythm which help the rest of your body to relax. When your body is relaxed, it’s easier for it to heal, reducing mental chatter, releasing tension and stress. Using the vibrations of music appropriately, we can alter our vibrational energy through sympathetic resonance or entrainment.
Cannabis: Over time, many cultures have integrated the plant into their everyday lives. Yogis have been known to smoke cannabis mixed with tobacco to increase the effectiveness of meditation. Cannabis is referenced repeatedly in Sanskrit Vedic poetry, having been described as an herb that relieves anxiety. Today we are aware of the many medical benefits that cannabis use can provide when used properly. The consumption of cannabis will commence in the beginning of class. Organic, sun-grown flower will be provided by @thebloomfieldco. Please be mindful when consuming cannabis, especially if you have any medical conditions that might be a contraindication. Cannabis consumption is optional.

Prepare for your experience:
● Arrive at least 10 minutes early (6:50pm) to settle into your spot
● Eat a light snack at least 30 minutes prior to workshop start time
● Please bring your own yoga mat & a bottle of water, and granola bar if hungry afterward
● Dress as you would for a yoga class, however, bring layers in order to adjust your body temperature, heating up to cooling down.

KHARA PECHTES is a yoga instructor, massage therapist and owner of Therapeutic Synergy. Born and raised in Venice, CA, Khara combines imagery, breathwork, yoga, and cannabis in her workshops. She uses her own unique blend of essential oils in class to heighten the senses, with light adjustments. As a Massage Therapist Khara specializes in modalities specifically for women, focusing on pregnancy and infant massage.
Aedan MacDonnell: Harper, composer, arranger, teacher and multi-instrumentalist
Aedan has 20+ years of experience, studying in the US and Ireland, and specializes in the music of her ancestors, of Ireland and Scotland, and other Celtic nations. She studied harp in Ireland and her innate ability to transform Celtic music into a contemporary sound without losing its traditional roots will leave you wanting more.
