Yoga Nidra, or ‘yogic sleep,’ is a powerful Tantric meditation technique that helps us learn how to let go, heal and accelerate self-transformation. We release our identification with the thinking mind, and shift into accessing the deepest layers of our consciousness. Through this effortless process, we are empowered to let go of limiting beliefs, create new patterns of behavior and move towards greater emotional balance. In this workshop, we will explore Yoga Nidra and Sankalpa through conscious intention setting and journaling. We will work through body and breath to activate our intentions and seal them in with an extended Yoga Nidra practice. You will come away with a deeper understanding of how Yoga Nidra can help you drop your armor, trust in your own path and find growth through intention and letting go.
Please wear comfortable clothes and bring your journal. Blankets provided.

Hilary Jackendoff is a Los Angeles based Tantric meditation and yoga teacher, in the North Indian lineage of the Bihar School of Yoga. Hilary has been studying and practicing meditation for the last decade and focuses her teaching on helping students learn how to let go and trust in the process of their own inevitable transformation. Much of her meditation expertise was developed through her own commitment to a daily practice and through an immersive and extensive stay at an ashram of her lineage, where she completed a formal 2 year Teacher Training. The meditation practices she shares are all based on traditional techniques, and are designed to take you deep into the subtle body. She is committed to sharing ancient practices in an accessible, modern way.
Hilary offers 100 Hour Yoga Nidra Teacher Trainings in Los Angeles. She is a senior teacher at The DEN Meditation, where she co-created the studio's 400 hour Meditation Teacher Training. When she's not doing meditative stuff, you can find Hilary exploring the trails of the Santa Monica mountains, singing kirtan, or learning about wild plant medicine.
